Company Profile
Star Delta has been providing solutions to the industry's electrical requirements for over 40 years.
Star Delta's founders were Charlie Dorn and John Innes. In the mid 1960's Charlie and John indentified and need for transformers and started manufacturing under the name "Power Transformers".
John Innes also had special expertise in radio tranmission equipment which saw Star Delta manufacture transformers for tranmission equipment.
It is interesting that in the early 1970's the Departement of Fair Trading had a problem with the company being called "Power Transformers". It was thought that since this was the general name given to transformers it was unfair advantage to the business to have this name. The company was required to provide three alternative names to the department of Fair Trading who were to select one - which was Star Delta. Interesting since this also describes a particular electrical connection.
Star Delta understands the needs of our customers and the requirements of industry standards to develop a range of standard and custom transformers.
In 1998 Star Delta aquired Ashley Technologies which has expertise in PCB transformers and ferrite transformers.
In 2003 Star Delta aquired Special Transformers which added a further range of products including chokes and reactors.
In 2007 Star Delta joined with Sydney Transformers which assists customers with all types of transformer needs.
In 2008 Star Delta joined with Hunter Transformers which specialises in transformers for mining and heavy industry.
Star Delta is committed to a high level of customer service and quality control.
